How to block out the bass from speakers?

Hi all, can someone tell me the instructions to block out the bass in the speakers? I have a vague idea of it, something like put something over the positive terminal of the speakers....... but i am not sure.... help pls........ thanks

A 220uF cap will work if I recall. Thats all that the crutchfield things are is capacitors. You may want to pose this question over in the audio forum though.
