Stillen brakes / Axxis pads moaning/groaning noise ?

Does anyone else have a problem with these brakes. I've had them on the car for over a year now, but they've always has a moaning/groaning noise coming from them when the brakes are applied with some pressure. This doesn't occur when stopping from 10mph, but it does from above 35mph with some aggressiveness... although not slamming on the brakes. I'm curious because I'm thinking of replacing it all because I'm sick of the noise it causes.

It's most likely due to the cross drilled rotors. If you go back to regular stock rotors then your noise issue should go away. Most, if not all, of the improved braking is from the better brake pads anyway.

Don't think it is a "problem." I get similar noises. I have always thought it to be air resonating between the plates...sort of whistling through the drilled holes.

since ive had my cross drilleds ive had increased noise also. Similar to the groaning noise u experience. I was told by many performance mechanics that it is quite normal because of the pads and rotors...but i dunno?

I have the same set-up and i dont have any moaning/groaning noise. I had a squeel when cold but it went away. Check out your rotor surface, when my stock rotors were cracked it make all sorts of noise. Your stillens might have some cracks by now; mine certainly do.

Also, are you sure your not hearing your tires under hard breaking. My tires make a sort of whirring sound when i brake hard from high speeds.
