Check Eng. Lite = OBD Codes PO158 &159
Just came back from Dealer.
Peachtree Nissan in Chamblee, Georgia charged me $83.95 for a Diagnostic (Check Engine Light).
The Front and Rear Oxygen Sensors are gone. OBD codes are PO158 and PO159.
Dealer wants to charge me $465.00 parts+labor for this repair.
I believe I can beat this! Too much cash man.
Anyone know how much the average cost is on the Front and Rear Oxygen sensors for 01' Maxima SE???

In addition, it's nuts to pay that much for a diagnostic fee when you can purchase your own OBDII Code Reader for about $50.00 more and read your own codes forever. Check out:

For $142, you could have this http://www.obd-2.com/ and actually watch all major functions while you drive, awesome for diagnostics and tuning. It'll also log sensor data as you drive, again, awesome to see what's going on. It also reads out all DTCs, of course.
You need a laptop though. I'm an IT manager so I had a ton of them sitting around doing nothing. I keep it my garage on a cart, it's awesome.
There's also a ton made these days for Palm pilots but I don't know site names. If you have a plam pilot, they'll sell ya the DLC covnerter and palm software. It logs, does real time display, and reads DTCs. All for like $100 or so if you already have a palm pilot it's awesome.
On the original topic, typically I thought O2 sensors cost around $70 or so. If it's not under warranty, try doing it yourself if you think you can.
