Audio installs in San Diego

i'm planning to do a major stereo install on my 2k2. i was wondering if anyone from the san diego area has done one and where they got it. i've been to places like street noyz and progressive, la jolla audio, and such, but was jus' wondering who was the best (best service, best work, etc). if anyone could help out, i'd really appreciate it. i'm planning to start this week! whether or not someone answers to this thread, i'll be sure to post pictures and let you all know how the install goes. i've got most of it done, jus' need the fiberglass enclosuers int he trunk, the a-pillars, and the amp rack.

I have been to the three which you have mentioned, and the best one of all is StreetNoyz. Does lots of celebs cars and what not. But the cool thing is that he doesnt charge like you are a celebrity. Not only does he have awesome prices, but he has awesome customer service. I had my box built there and as a matter of fact, it is sitting there right now. Talk to SKIP at StreetNoyz. If you tell him Carlos (the guy with the Maxima) sent you he should hook you up a better on the $. Here is my stuff.Page 3 www.cardomain.com/id/cwally

oh by the way, a day before i turned my car in, my clarion dvd player started f**kin' up! the damn screen would flip up and flip down, but it would not retract. i bought it used so it's not under warranty. i called clarion and they said they would charge $130 flat rate to fix it if there was no evidence of abuse. i owned this thing for over 6 months and the guy i bought it from owned it for a couple. this baby was less than a year old and it's broken!! it's the clarion vrx925vd. hmmmmmm......

video in headrests...

by the way, has anybody ever installed video in their headrests on a 2k2? see, the headrests are really narrow in the back-side and it looks like a 5" LCD will barely fit, but the way it's shaped, i think it would look funny. does anybody have any pics or info that would prove otherwise?

Here is bigdogs setup... If I would have kept the maxima, I would have done a flip down. I think that the headrests are too close to the back seats. But I think that is cuz I like to lay a little lower when I am cruisin.

when is the next so cal meet? i've never been to one but would like to attend if i may...don't worry, i took some pictures while i was there showing the process of the install. as soon as i get the finished product on friday (hopefully), i'll take pictures again and get the whole thing developed. so i should have pictures to post by early next week. i think though that it will not be completely finished until next week when i get the plexi-glass back from the sand blasting place.

thanks man...those are 10's. it was a pretty tight fit, but skip made it work. there is actually quite a lot of space back there. each box is about .5cuft it's not much, but i wasn't really looking for SPL, more of an SQ kind of guy i guess
