greddy exhaust
greddy exhaust
Is there anyway to make this exhaust quiter. I'm really concerned about the sound from the inside, while i'm driving... i dont really care too much about the outside noise. I hope i'm making sense. thanks for the help.
Sounds like you didn't research the exhaust too thoroughly before you got it.
I don't think you can do anything to muffle the sound without losing performance. It was engineered to work a certain way so what makes you think you can modify it and still have the same flow and power?
I would look into a different exhaust that isn't as loud and sell yours in the classifieds. I'm sure someone will snag it right up.
You could always try the old banana in the tail pipe trick...

Actually there is a way to make this better.
I have seen people in Taiwan that purchase "sound insolation material" that they install underneath the carpet of the car to decrease the noise in the cabin.
As far as what kind of material this is, I am not very certain. Give HomeDepot a call and see if they got anything like that.
Hope this helps.

I would try to bring the stock muffler back to a muffler shop and ask them to fit it back in to the greddy Bpipe.
y-pipe - b-pipe - stock muffler is a good sleeper combo.

The 2k+ muffler is not bad....the problem is on the b-pipe where the flow is restricted. That's what heat up my EGT so fast when I am under boost.
