Too stiff handling?

I test drove 3 new 2003 Maximas SE. All three of them had a very mild shaking on the steering wheel as I drove them. I was expecting a better ride from the Maxima. Is it me, or just the way the car is?

I'm not complaining about it that much since I'll be getting a great deal on this car. But it seems to be an issue with the SE I believe. I read something about on Edmunds.com also. the stiff suspension doesn't offer a great ride.

Thank you for the replies,

Miguel.

Re: Too stiff handling?

The SE trim always comes with "sports-tuned suspension" which should give a stiffer and harsher ride than a bouncy GXE or GLE ride. Are you sure the shaking feeling you felt wasn't the usual torque steer?

For me, I prefer a more firm ride only because I like my car more performance oriented.
