Its easy...Go slow and make sure you understand it completely before uninstalling anything. Be VERY careful with the MAF tube and make sure not to loose gromments or damage the grommets.

Use the stock coupler between the throttle body and the mid-pipe. That will isolate the MAF from motor vibrations.

just follow the instructions on the web page and take it slow. If you know what you are doing, its going to take you 20 min. Lube up the couplers as it makes it easier to fit over the TB..that was a PITA!

once installed, watch out. You never heard a 6 sound this BAD!!

it is in, and in is awsome . I took my time, in total about 3 hours, but, I had a break for dinner. The MAF housing was a ***** to get off, but, all is presently well, I really cannot stress the beauty of that sound when you get on it, it is just plain awsome. I just went out to buy a pack of smokes, the store is within walking distance of my house, but, for some reason it took an hour and a quarter tank of gas!!!!

If you can't get the black rubber clambs onto the TB and the midpipe use vasaline or something.

Well it has been on for 2 days, and, I love it, but, I do have a couple of questions.

1) The support bracket (the twisted piece that connects to the strut tower), did you guys use it?, I have the K&N Filter, and, if I try to secure the intake to the tower it aangles the whole thing up slightly so that the filter extends above the fender and the hood will not latch, how did you guys resolve this?.

2) At around 2200 to 2500 rpm's there is a whistle or squeak, has anybody else noted this?

3) I will be getting an Apexi filter when Frankencar gets them in, is there a great deal of difference between them (K&N/Apexi)?

Thanks,

- J

1) Not sure. I have a stillen so it may be different, but i recall bending the stock air box bracket thing a little.

2) Thats normal. if the search function worked you would find a mess of threads about this.

3) Dont think there is really a difference.

I just ordered a Frankencar intake w/Apexi a few days ago. I thought the filters were back in stock, so are they still taking forever to ship or what?

That is the K&N. I had the same thing happen on my civic. You learn to ignore it after a while..
