detailing

guys- I was just wondering what actually is done when you get your car detailed on the inside. Is is just an armorall treatment and leather conditioner/protectant? If that's all they do, how often do you guys condition and clean up the insides of your cars (whether its a do-it-yourself job or a pro detailing)?

NO ARMORALL!!

stay away from that stuff it is junk! it leaves a greasy film that seems to attract dust. took me repeated washings to clean that crap off. (wife bought it) maguires makes a great product, can't remember the name of it. it works much better. just wanted to warn you about armorall.

Not only that but it contains a chemical that will not allow the plastic to breath and will make it crack down the line in the sun. Detailing the interrior is not that big a deal. Unless the car is really dirty all you do is vacuum, shampoo, clean the windows, and dress up the dash. Now this process can take hours depending on how crazy you are but not really anything worth paying for.
