FrankenCar Intake support bracket?

I'm having a little trouble with it. It only seems to fit correctly on the side of the MAF and not the side of the Steel MAF bracket. When I put it on the side of the Steel MAF bracket, it pulls the intake too close to the strut tower and the filter hits the metal piece on the strut tower that's holding some wiring. With it attached to the MAF side, the nut comes loose after some time. Any suggestions?

Why is there so much space between the Apexi filter adapter and the MAF adapter? It appears there is about a half to an inch gap.

Is it supposed to be on the MAF adapter side and not the actual MAF side?

Being aluminum it is easily adjustable.

It's actually not easily adjustable. When it's on the MAF adapter side, it pulls the Apexi filter into a OEM metal piece on the strut tower. The metal piece has electrical wiring. It's almost as if the piece should be longer. I'd rather have the brace that's pictured on his site. It looks like a better hanging brace all together.
