I've got a Black SE and I think it would look badass without the chrome around the windows. There's no chrome anywhere else on the car so this **** looks out of place. Anyone know if its possible to remove the chrome and if the car looks okay without it?

If ya want. Don't trash your car man. Don't you think it'd look better without the chrome? I've seen this tape that they sell at Pep Boys, it's called black-out tape or something like that. I'm just afraid it'd look cheesy. I guess it'd come off okay.

haha, i had the same thought. one day i got bored, so i ran electrical tape all around the windows the cover the chrome. looked sweet, and pretty clean too, but i took it off because i felt it would look kinda ghetto if it started to peel or somethin.

I agree - it is out of place. Hope somebody has found a good way to make it black. What really looks bad is the 3" that shows between front and rear Ventshades!

I'm just not a big fan of chrome on modern cars. Chrome on a classic car = looks hot to me. Chrome on a modern car = looks cheap to me.

I saw some of the black-out tape today when I was a G.I. Joes today. It looked awfully wide (about 1") so I thought it might be a little too big. Plus it said to apply between 60-80 degrees ambient temp. It's ~40 here today so no go.

i just checked out my mom's i30t, and it also uses that black tape for the b-pillar.. someone here has gotta have an idea of how to take that trim out.. there's gotta be more than that one visible bolt.
