FSB or RSB first?

I'm gonna start modding the suspension soon, and I'm wondering if I should do FSB or RSB first? Which one is a more noticable difference? What are benefits of both? Which bars have most bang for buck? Etc. Just looking for forum opinions, harder to find without search

Any more advice you can offer on the type, or maybe the reasoning behind the choice?

RSB 100% difference when cornering, FSTB very little noticeable difference. RSB will keep your car sitting upright going through corners rather than plastered against the window.

Do either of them void warranties?

Meaning, do I have to take them off if I go to get the car serviced?

technically, no, unless that's what caused the problem. but i think there are some dealers who would try to argue that ANY mods will void warranty.

I don't think so. Most dealerships will be fine with them. (I say most because some will look for any excuse). You might want to talk to your service manager assuming you can trust is word.
And for the front, it's usually refered to as a FSTB.
A RSB will be a lot more noticeable than a FSTB. The FSTB will only be noticed during high-speed turn ins. The RSB will be felt at basically any speed.

correct me if i'm wrong, but i think all FSTBs and RSBs are basically the same... i think even the generic ones are just as functional as the brand name ones. just depends on if you're willing to pay the extra $$$ for the name.

Pretty much. I went with the Stillen ones but any will do.
Most people get the addco RSB cause it's cheaper.
There's a place here (Budget) that sells FSTB for 50 bucks canadian.
I haven't heard any complaints from the Canadian owners here that got that one.

As someone mentioned RSB's come as cheap as Addco or as expensive as Stillen. They both have been tested extensively by people that have used both and both work equally as good. Addco is $110 or so and Stillen is $180 or so. I like the design of the Stillen FSTB better than lower priced ones. That being said, I haven't seen any postings to prove that the Stillen FSTB is any better than the rest. This would be hard to tell since the FSTB isn't very noticeable.

FSB vs FSTB

Please note there is a BIG difference between a FSB and an FSTB. The two most commonly recommended upgrades are Front Strut Tower Bar and Rear Sway Bar.

I'm gonna go against the grain here....

...and reccomend the FSTB first. I've got a few reasons:

1) Price - I got my BOMZ for $35 delivered (AWESOME bar I might add).
2) Ease of install - Gets you comfortable with working on the car (sounds like you don't have much experiance - where we ALL start).
3) It DOES make a difference. Just take a turn and you'll notice right away that the front end "lean" is gone.

After a few days, you'll be dying to get the RSB to complete the ride. Here are some points about that:

1) Will run about $110 for the Progress one sold by Cattman performance (the one I have - a good one I might add).
2) If the FSTB install is a 2 (on a 1 - 10 scale) the RSB is about a 5. It's one of those things that can be a pain when you first do it, but can do it with your eyes closed after that.
3) It will complete the package and greatly reduce the body roll when cornering.
4) This thing will really make you notice how much the Potenza's suck. My suspension can handle more than the tires can now. I hear the squealing when going around tight corners

RSB all the way. I did the FSTB first. Took it off, then installed the RSB. RSB outnumbers it anyday.

As for the dealers.... each one is different. Mine has no problems with mods, some will void you for a sticker. just depends on where you go.

Thanks for the feedback all, was really helpful, I think I'm going to grab the RSB first and get an FSTB in a couple weeks.

get the Rear Sway Bar, cuts out all that nasty body roll and netralizes the handling.

Definitely, RSB first. Then, go with FSTB not FSB. You can do FSB later, but don't expect a whole lot more improvement over the previous two mods combined. As for which brand? The performance on these components don't vary nowhere near as much as say, springs or shocks. So, just go with ones that you can get the best deal on. But since the FSTB will be in full view when the hood is open, you may want to choose one that pleases you aesthetically.
