bad day.. hit a deer

well.. this was a pretty bad day for me... dropping sister off at the airport this morning at around 6am.. it was all foggy.. so I was doing about 20mph.. and a deer just came out of no where.. I tried to avoid him and jam on the brake.. but still mamage to hit the deer.. the deer put a pretty good dent on my driver side front quarter panel(Right behind the headlight). For all your animal lovers out there.. yes.. the deer was fine.. but my baby wasn't..

anyone know if those dent place can fix a dent like that? never had one done so I dont know how it work..

Other than a body shop, call Dent Wizards or Paintless Dent Repair. I'm not sure if they have offices in MI.

Front fender is cheap, or should be anyways. I just had one replaced on my other car, it was only $165 for a factory OEM part. THe hard part is painting it (matching).

If the dent is bad enough that it can't be fixed without new paint, I would just throw a new fender on it. I wouldn't even waste time on muddin it up, but hey, that's just me,

I took out the FF on my wife's (then fiancee) firebird (this was like 4 years ago). I put a brand new FF on that for $80, but the fender was an aftermarket jammy, so it was 1 gauge size smaller. But it held up just fine. Painting it was more expensive, I think it was like $200. At the time, the car was 8 years old but somehow the body shop matched up the white, couldn't really tell it had been repainted.

'taint no big thang, don't sweat it. your day could have been A LOT worse than a FF.

In other news, I hit a bird . Seriously, that poor thing I'm sure is dead because I was going about 75. I forgot to check out the car though, I'm heading out to the parking lot right now.

I'm sorry to hear about your car, but be glad you practiced due diligence and were going slowly (20-mph). If you had been more reckless and travelling at a faster rate, it would've been much worse for both your car and the deer.

Damn dude! Yeah that was good driving on your part. A lot of people would be prone to going fast anyways regardless of visibility. I almost hit a deer a few nights ago, and that thing popped out of nowhere like you said. Luckily I was able to swerve around and miss it, but it did scare me pretty bad.

hahahaha that's gotta hurt. That bird is history. Hope your car is alright. I'd be pi$$ed if I hit a pigeon or something and it messed up my car.

First Buck

I killed my first buck with a truck. It was a 12-pointer. It happened out of state, so I made up a long BS story about a hunting trip. I change the story every once in a while to see if people are paying attention. The caliber of the gun I allegedly used might change or the location of the shot... I have a plaque undernearth the mount that states the name as "Chevy". People think it is becuase I like Chevy Chase.
