Quieting aftermarket pads

I just want to thank someone who furnished the advice to place a 45 degree angle on the leading edge of the brake pad to prevent noise and groaning.

I have an aftermarket set of Willwoods which work great! However, they tend to bite early and make a fair amount of noise while stopping. I took the advice from someone within the .org and removed the 90 degree angle on the leading edge of my pad and its much quieter. It is also easier to modulate the braking....alot more suitable for daily driving.

Whoever it was...thanks.

D I believe. I have to go look in my garage. They aren't the Q-type. They have lasted quite a while w average driving. Not sure where the person said they only got 5 weeks out of theirs. I've had mine for 10k miles and am only about 50%.
