As far as what I did: locate/lineup in the (tire)grooves of my lane, brake torque @ 2K and released the brake on the final yellow, flooring it the whole way. I guess it was the one unique set of circumstances where the Potenzas actually hooked up. As far as my own weight: 175lbs.
And being at the best dragstrip in the US (Englishtown Raceway Park) helps alot.

If an 03 Accord can get 15.2@93mph running on 87, then I'd imagine the car would be very closs to 15.0 with the 91+. These are mag times of course. I should note that the mags haven't been able to get any better than low 15s out of the 02+ Maximas and Altimas either SO I'd venture to the say that unless you've got a 6 speed 3.5, I'd be very careful saying you'll outrun an 03 Accord. They might not have the torque or quite the HP, but that extra gear in the tranny makes a big difference, especially from 40-80mph."
Thats not true....Sport Compact did a dyno test and when they put higher octane the honda accord it lost horsepower because the ecu isnt programed to run the 92 93 octane!!!1

KCIR is better than MO/KAN, but not really anything known nationaly.
I am going to KCIR this weekend, and they just resurfaced the track, and supposedly there is concrete for the first 60ft or something...supposed to be better for traction. So hopefully I'll improve on my 60ft (get a 2.2sec) and get my 1/4 down near 14.5 sec @ 96/97mph...I hope.
This track isn't very well known. Heartland Park in Topeka KS is a larger more commercial track. I don't think there are ever any big events at KCIR, (could be wrong) but maybe now that they've resurfaced the track they'll get more events.
I need to improve my times! sea-level would help!

Friends don't let friends buy Hondas.
Just kidding. I've actually owned a few Accords in the past (89, 90, 92). A friend I work with bought a 4 cylinder EX-L with the 5 speed manual. The car moves well for a 4 banger and the quality of the material and the fit and finish is extremely good. I have to admit as well, that I was impressed with the centre stack - the climate control is well laid out and looks good too.

Maybe someday. Eagerly awaiting this rumored interior revamping for 2004 or 2005. Could put it back in the running, and I may be ready for another car by then.

DASH
DOOR PANNELS
SEATS
LEATHER
CARPET
CONSOLE AND ARM REST
CUBBY HOLE
STORAGE DOOR
ILLUMINATE CONTROLS
What ya think??? Fully loaded that would make it about 43,000.00

my bad...but i think its the same single overhead cam 3.0 v6 but with Type-s parts and lil modifications?...but it should matter unless the computer Ecu isnt programmed for high octane right?

- Compression Ratio: 9.4:1 vs 10.0:1
- VTEC system: SOHC VTEC-E (economy) vs SOHC VTEC (regular, performance)
- Redline: 6300 vs 6800
- Higher performance intake manifold (but still non-variable) installed
- Redesigned exhaust manifolds (integrated into block)
- Higher capacity exhaust system
- Larger valves
- Minor head work
- Knock sensor added for more advanced timing control
- Computer updated (duh), can vary timing based on knock readings with either 87 or 93 octane fuel (more power on 93)
- Tranny: wide ratio 4AT vs close ratio 5AT (opt 6MT on coupe)

VQ I ran a 14.76 @93.9 mph in my stock 03 with 2,400 miles on it and I had everything in the car, the timeslip is around here somewhere. Lots of guys have ran 14.** with stock 02/03 autos. Is your car a 6spd once you get your reaction time down you should be running low 14's @97-99 mph or something like that I have seen stock 6spds running those times in my area. the best I could muster out of my wifes 350Z auto was a 14.31 @97.01 with 2,150 miles on it.

I had a ride in my friend's V6 tonight. Car looks good, and had better headroom at the rear. I don't know about the front seats cuz I didn't sit there. The stereo and dash were well lid, and he punched it and the braked quickly to show the go and stop power. One of these days I will drive it to see how it runs. Nice car, and I think the room liner is not the fluffy stuff like what's in our Max.
