Can anyone suggest a less expensive (than dealer) source for chipped keys?

Does anyone have the programming instructions for our chipped keys (I'm not talking about the remote fob, I've got those programming instructions)? The local dealer want $49 for the key, and $45 to program it. I'm assuming that once the key is cut then the chip can be programmed in the car without special tools (similar to the way the remote fob is programmed).

When I got my car (used) I had the dealer make an extra key for me at no charge. This is what it costs, and he did have to hook something up to the OBDII connector to get it in sync. From what I understand, you can only have 3 or 4 keys programmed to be read at one time, and if you have 2 keys (for some stupid reason) on the key ring, the one in the ignition will start the car, but then the second one won't work anymore.

 

I need to know how to program the Fob. I just bought a new one on e-bay, but don't know how to program it. Can someone help please? thanks

 

Double check your owners manual. I am pretty sure that it is in there. If you don't see it, I will try to talk to Nissan later today and get the code for it.
