Need suggestion- Painting calipers.

I own a 2002 SE Sterling Mist and the first thing Im gonna do as the weather gets warmer is to paint the calipers.

I was gonna do them black (I have chrome replica rims). Does anyone have any suggestions as to what color I should paint them?? I do like the red, does anyone have red painted calipers on a sterling mist, not quite sure if that would look right.

Any comments or pics of their painted calipers would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I am right there with you and I think I am going to do red on my Sterling Mist. I want it to stand out a little. Here is a writup that someone posted. I love the way the red looks. http://www.cardomain.com/member_page...24200&page=17.

I don't take the credit. Just passing along info.

I agree. Ive seen PMAS76's homepage before, he did a REAL nice job with the red and Im gonna take the same approach but his car is black and anything goes with that. I wanna do red but need to see some pics first, if anyones got red calipers on a Sterling mist please post for us.
Thanks!

I finished painting my calipers with the Foliatec red similar to PMAS76 and they look GREAT! The most important thing is to be patient and thorough with the paint... and make sure the 2nd coat goes on thick and even, and your cailpers will stand out!

I would suggest using the blue Foliatec to paint you calipers. Blue goes so well with silver.

i dont think red on a sterling mist would look so good. I would go with a black paint. Red may contrast with the color of your car. I would definitely see some pics before i went ahead and did that paint job. Email me if you have any questions with the painting once you decide on the color. Later on.

It is not sterling mist, but it is a silver car. I think it looks good. I don't think Brembos come in another color

Here is another pic of the Lancer.

If it was only a little bigger and had a MAXIMA logo it would be perfect.

what about yellow?

I've got a 2002 Majestic Blue. I am thinking of painting the calipers yellow. Has anyone seen what the yellow foliatec looks like when it dries? Does anyone have pics of yellow calipers?

I don't think yellow would look good personally.

that all depends on what color scheme you are planning for your car. what color intake are you planning? what color wheels? what type of head unit and what color is it. Once you make that determinaton, then you can make a solid choice. I would personally do black, nice contrast there.

Brembo makes gold, blue, red, silver and few more caliper colors..

i painted my calipers red and here's how they look.
