Bought my 02 Max, 02 S10 Crew Cab for my wife, and my son's 03 Altima for cash.
I don't like to finance anything.

hey our cars are almost twins.... yea i bought my car. To me a lease is like a glorified rental.... i remember when i was signing that day, my hand was all shaky. but it felt so good just to drive it away.... of course coming from a 1990 max with only 160 est. HP, i inadvertantly peeled out of teh parking lot....

leased my '02 on jan 3, '03. at the time it seemed like a good idea but then i had to move and now commute to work, but i planned to buy out the lease anyway. i am happy with the deal i got on it and it was my first new car. and it ended up cheaper to buy the max than it did to get a sentra SE-R.

I buy em cash. Best way to go. If ya have to finance (unless its 0%) you shouldn't buy it. Thats my opinion at least... Maxes are great cars for the $. If you keep em for a long time then resale is irrelevant.

Do they usually negotiate on the purchase price on your lease contract?

Financed for purchase when she was new. I will outright own her this coming November so I'm looking forward to no more monthly payments after 4 years.

I bought my 01 AE new with 32 miles on it. Paid it off about 4 months ago and it has app 29k on it now. No problems, plan to keep it a long time. Still like new.

Bought mine but I should've leased. I have only kept one car for five yrs, everything else is 2 1/2 and traded. What a waste of money. I love my max so lets see how long I'll keep it.
