Removing the OEM airbox and replacing it with any aftermarket intake and filter will improve air flow into the engine. The airbox restricts air flow.

2001SE... I've read that too.. why is that? Why does the intake kill the low end tork?

I just switched to the ghetto airbox from the Frankencar and I dont plan to switch back. Torque is better now than it ever has been and it sounds just as good. I've had the Injen, Frankencar, and now this and this is by far better.

GAB = Ghetto Air Box. You pretty much just cut the top of the air box off to increase airflow. Kind of like taking you air filter out with the air filter holder thing-a-ma-jig, and taping the filter back in without the holder thing-a-ma-jig.

This does everything an aftermarket intake does, besides looking cool, and increasing your risk of MAF failure.

Before you ask, MAF = Mass Air Flow sensor.

any problems with your MAF yet? If so, are you worried about it? How much extra power does it "feel" like you've gained w/ the GAB?

No problems with MAF, 2k-2k1 MAFs own. I gained low endtorque without a doubt.
