Wheel Locks

I got one for you...did all 5th gens come with locking nuts on the wheels....my did, and more over I don't have the key for them. I'm heading to the dealer now, but just wondered if this was the case for everyone?

Mine did too. They were a dealer added option, if I remember correctly the price was $199, but of course I didn't pay for them. I knew better, Courtesy Nissan sells the set for like $23.

Mine did, but the dealer gave me the wrong key. Lucky I was replacing the tires and discovered the wrong key. Not something you want to find out in an emergency. And, some poor guy still does not know he has my original key which won't fit his locks.

OK...just got back from the dealer and they claim...

Dealer: We don't stock this part and you have to order it from Nissan.
Me: It wasn't even an option I asked for and it wasn't like I lost the key, I never had it.
Dealer: Sorry but you'll have to contact Nissan.
ME: Will I have to pay for it?
Dealer: Yes.

Gotta love Nissan.

Problem with that is they don't have (or they claim) any there! What dealer do you deal with, your around DC right. So am I. They claim NO Nissan dealer carries these stock in inventory! Only can get them from Nissan, but then why does Courtesy carry them?

BS what? What a load of crap. They are put on at the dealership so therefore they have to have them in stock. I believe I would be talking to the General Manager, this will usually takes care of any problems you may have. Also they mechanics have a key for each set. I think there is something like 7, could be way wrong though.

The techs in the back have a tool box with all the keys to any possible Nissan lock

When I picked mine up they didn't have the key either. The salesman ran back in to garage, picked one up and gave it to me. Fortunately I tested it first, wrong one. He went back in... Strike 2!

Finally I came back the next day, they had a universal key and replaced them with new locks.
