trunk lid liner removal question

I was wondering if anyone had a "how to" on removing the plastic screws/plugs that hold the trunk lid liner to the trunk. The iternal trunk release seemed to partly responsible for the "sub-woofer rattle" that I had in my car in addition to only 2 screws securing my rear license plate, so I tried to remove the screws for the trunk liner and I ended up just pulling part of the liner off without the screws coming out. Can I get them out and back in or am I S.O.L.? Please help. I'll probably get the dealer to look at it, but if I can get it done myself, I'd be much happier. Thanks in advance.

To remove the lining you have to use a phillips screwdriver, and a pair of dikes work really well together. The screwdriver helps pull the inner part of the clip out and the dikes will be used to finally pull the inner part as far out as possible to pull the whole clip off.

I hope this helps. Kind of a vague description. But you have to just pull the inner clip out to pull the whole thing out. It's actually harder to put back in when you replace.

When you put them back in,
Don't pound on them or you'll
bend the bracket.
