Your interest rate will be horrible. Payments will be HUGE! Buy something inexpensive and pay off the credit problems.

I'm sorry to hear that you lost your business, I think we are all feeling this economy. But is buying a new car really the best move if you can't pay your bills already? Perhaps that is where the bad credit started?

If I had to buy a new car and was short on money I'd probably get a Sentra or a used car.

Gang, let's not confuse cash flow with credit rating. While his credit may be shaky (at best), we have no idea what sources of $$$ he has. In a weird way, buying this car might actually be good for him since if he is ontime with payments, etc. it can help the credit situation.

MaxRus clearly stated in his previous post that "it's not going to be easy to pay them off". This would imply that he has debt.
He also stated that he recently lost his business. This would imply that he has no job, unless there is some other source of income.
He also stated that because of all of these issues, he has bad credit.
With bad credit, debt that he admittedly can't pay off, and no job (still to be confirmed, but possible), he wants to buy a $25,000 car? Get real! Perhaps my response was a bit harsh, but putting a deposit on a car that he can't afford is an idiotic thing to do.
jjs- If he really wants to rebuilt his credit, he needs to get rid of the debt first. Any purchases at this point will only add to his debt to income ratio.

Then you decide to pull the same thing with me. And like a broken record, you go over and over... you even attempt to blame it on the forum. I'm talking about common sense (which you lack) and decency (which you also lack). Have some respect and courtesy and avoid the personal insults. The guy may be asking silly questions or assuming otherwise, but you can explain this to him without calling names or such.
I'm sure if we compared notes, there would be somewhere that you were not as educated or talented, and we could take you apart as well. Trust me... your attitude reflects immaturity.

But he meant it in a nice way. Some people don't respond to anything less than an insult.

He has alot of common sense. One reason he's a moderator. Do you think this guy will undestand a 400 level econ college level explaination?

Why is it that every single thread, as of late, has turned into a flame war? If it's not about someone's spelling or grammer, it's regarding their taste in their Maxima, or credit record.
Why don't people here just answer the question posed by the original poster, and leave it at that. I don't recall MaxRus asking how to improve his credit, or whether YOU think he can afford a car. He simply asked whether he can get financing with bad credit. It's a "yes/no/maybe" answer--period!
There's no need to go and discuss his personal issues. It's getting old at this point. People trying to be wiseguys/smartasses, and it is getting annoying.
Bottom line--just answer the question at hand, or don't reply. This will also reduce the waste of server resources.

Huh? When did I do this? You're losing it, my man.
I'm not the one with the crappy credit and debt that is trying to buy a luxury car. Ironically, I seem to be one of the few people here who is realistic.
You have poor grammar skills. Can someone please translate this sentence for me?.
I don't see how being a realist can be misconceived as being immature, but you do have a relatively warped sense of logic, so anything is possible.

It may be your opinion, but if it insulting, than I suggest you keep it to yourself and be a little more respectful and courteous. Otherwise, we can all start sharing our opinions of you.

"take you apart as well."
If you must know, neither of these phrases is grammatically correct.
1. "Somewhere" refers to a physical, tangible place, not an idea or group of ideas.
2. You can't "take me apart". I am not a Lego set. There is, however, a popular expression known as, "pick you apart." Is that what you were trying to say?

Do you have a point to make here that is even remotely related to this thread? Obviously not.

To jjs' point, he's probably right in the fact that we don't know the whole situation. He very well could be in the process of repairing his credit, but the statement he made about how the debt would be really hard to pay off is ringing in my head. That insinuates that he has very little intention of paying it off.
I have a client that owes me $44,000 right now and I am fuming mad about it. I guess it was just bad timing for this thread to pop up.

Again, get off your high horse. If you want to correct grammar/spelling, please apply to your local elementary school--there's no need for it here. When I post, I don't re-read my post to make sure it adheres to others' standards, and I'm sure others don't either. I can see your point if someone writes something COMPLETELY incoherent, and you point it out, that's fine, but *****ing and moaning about the wrong verb tense or minor spelling mistake is just stupid! You can disagree with that, but I'd venture a guess that 90% of the members here would agree.
I wasn't even responding to you directly in my original post, as I have noticed a trend as of late of similar posts that end up being flame wars over BS, such as grammar, spelling, someone's personal matters, etc etc. If you're happy to participate in such threads, then what can I say, I have better things to spend my time on!
Anyways, hope you take the time to think about my points, instead of responding in a defensive manner with no forethought.
peace

Please show me where you were being realistic in helping this guy with his credit problem. All you have offered is the same canned response that I was being mean and hurtful.
Who is insulting who now?
1. "Somewhere" refers to a physical, tangible place, not an idea or group of ideas.
2. You can't "take me apart". I am not a Lego set. There is, however, a popular expression known as, "pick you apart." Is that what you were trying to say?

Somewhere \Some"where`\, adv.
In some place unknown or not specified
That unspecified place would be your brain... or the place of knowledge that you are tapping out presently while trying to find new ways to insult.
And when I said 'take you apart', I didn't mean 'pick you apart' (although, I'm sure that it would be fun to compare notes and pick you apart in your credentials, your logic, etc.)... I meant take you apart. Maybe you need a translator?
Calling me immature, telling me I have an IQ the size of my waist and telling me that I have no common sense certainly aren't insults, now are they?
