Painting brake calipers

can i just use high temp spray paint to paint my calipers. or do i have to get that folia-tec junk? i heard spray paint works well too, but will it last as long?
there was a post about this earlier, but i can't seem to find it. thanks in advance.

If you're doing red/black/silver/white any sort of pretty standard color the spray paint should work fine. My rice boy brother's civic has white calipers with the white high temp paint, and it looks good. He's had it for about a year and no issues.

I tried putting high temp paint on the calipers of the Intrepid I used to own, and I can attest that the paint doesn't hold up as good.

The Foliatec-type of caliper paint may seem expensive, however, remember that it IS aircraft paint, and will hold up a lot longer and looks soooo much better than high temp spray paint.

Take the plunge, be brave... get Foliatec and do it right. Otherwise, you will look like just another ricer...
