GAB and MAF

Has anyone experienced MAF (Mass Air Flow sensor) problems after they did the GAB (getto air box) mod? (cutting the filter frame)

Do you notice a decrease in performance when it is Hot out side?
It seems that the GAB pulls hot air from the engine bay instead of cool air from the grill?

I read about someone using a CAI hose connected in place of the resonator box. Any one have picts of this setup?

Thanks

I have a CAI, MAF blew not too long ago. Too bad you can't do a search anymore, there are alot of people having problems with their MAF with aftermarket intakes.
