Ooglie CAI - How To
Ooglie CAI - How To
I have checked the writeups on this, and although they are really good, they all way overcomplicate this mod.
Most writeups refer to removing two sensors, and removing the stock scoop. Folks, that ain't necessary.
Heres a simple writeup.
A. Drive your car up on a set of ramps. Or use jack stands if you don't have ramps. Got a buddy who works at a garage? Even better.
B. From under your car, look for the elbow that connects the bottom part of the intake to the plastic silencer.
C. Remove it.
D. Get a coupling piece to connect a hose to the bottom of the air intake (where the elbow used to connect. This piece is 3 1/2" in diameter. If you buy a 3" hose, get a coupling piece that will join these two. If your hose is 4" get a ..... You get the idea.
E. Run the hose where it will get cold air, cut it to fit, and secure it.
That's it.
Basically, we can take the meat of most of the oscai writeups and replace, remove sensor 1, then sensor 2, and unscrew the scoop, with yank the elbow out.
Aamof, I didn't even have to ramp my car to pull the elbow out. But you do need to to get to the underside of the airbox.
