how to sound deaden my new max??

i fear touching this car...looks so pretty i just have the knack of getting pist and tearing things apart and ruining door clips etc etc.

anyone who has deadened their max to entirety gimme a lil help or show me some pics...

mainly concerned with what i have to dismantle on the doors and how to get the carpet up to deaden that also.

If you want to actually eliminate road noise you're going to want something designed for that like Road Kill, it's not cheap, but works nice. If you are interested in stereo enhancement, it's not tough. Time consuming, but not tough. Products like Dynamat, Fatmat, Vblock, Raammat, etc will get you started. Asphalt or vinyl based materials that eliminate rattles and add to a "solid" feeling. I've done all the trunk and the front doors. The clips are plastic on the doors, very easy to remove and you won't break anything. Good luck

And...don't forget the wheel wells and underneath the passenger compartment. Some CAREFULLY applied siliconized undercoating will help dampen road noise at highway speeds. A thicker undercoating will dampen some of the drumming that thin sheet metal transmits. The wheel wells are the best place.

DO NOT COVER UP ANY DRAIN HOLES!

In addition, the trunk is a conductor of noise. Using adhesive, attach some sound deadening to the back of your rear seats. Reflective silver looks striking!

Thanks

Vic
