Key Programming

I'd like to buy an AE key for my '03 Max. Does anybody know how to program the key so I don't have to pay the Nissan stealer $40 to do it?

I am pretty sure u will have to take it to the dealer to program the key. It takes some computer to do it. It's not like programming the fob's. I had to take my anniversary key to get it prog.

From my understanding there is no getting around getting it done at the dealer. Its a must. I can only recommend you shop around for the best price. In the NYC area, prices varied widely from $41 to $100+. That is programming only (key not included).
