changing my breaks
changing my breaks
I've never changed my breaks before on my own, but I know it's a waste of money to bring it to a shop, so I want to get into changing them myself. I'm pretty mechanichaly inclined so I'm sure it can't be too hard to d it. does anyone know if there are there any instructions w/ pictures somewhere that I can work off of? including the removal of the rotors so I can have a shop machine them for me.
thanks
Tony

Try www.motorvate.ca for info and pictures on front brakes. I'd also spend $15 on the Haynes Manual, it will pay for itself many times over.

Re: changing my breaks
Has anyone tried PowerStop pads on their MAX (2002?
Changing Brakes: Make sure you have good hydraulic jack, torque wrench. brake cleaner. The blue brake GOOP you put b/w shims and pad. Partner to pump brakes, while you bleed em. Hose to bleed brakes into jar. I'm sure I missed something.
