Getting dirty this weekend...spark plug wire Q...
Ok, gonna go ahead and change spark plugs, air filter, do GAB/OOGLIE CAI, etc. this weekend.
Should the wires be changed too? Car has 77 k miles. Probably the stock wires are still on . Also, any recommended brands / types?? (SIMMA DOWN ....JOKE..PEOPLE)
thanks..

NO CRAP...
THREW THAT IN JUST TO GET SOME FLAMES...
MY REAL QUESTION IS WANTING TO KNOW THE BEST SPARK PLUGS, BECAUSE I CAN'T FIND THE DARN THREAD WHERE SOMEONE ASKED THAT EXACT SAME QUESTION LIKE A WEEK AGO..
Easy on the caps there buddy...we can hear you. Whoa....so why would you throw that in just to get flamed? People on this board are more apt to point out what is wrong with a statement or question and flame it than give the actual information needed. So again, why would you throw that in?
FYI:
Copper Plugs - Inespensive ($1-2 per plug), change interval 30K or less
Platinum Plugs - Expensive ($10-15 per plug), change interval about 60k to 100k (lasting a 100k is not likely)
Iridium Plugs - Expensive ($10-15 per plug), change interval about 30K as stated on Denso web site.
I have used all types of plugs in car that I've owned. Right now I'm using the iridium. They are not worth the money, I thought it was a 100K miles on interval change, but I later found the statement of 30K miles on Denso's web site thanks to SprintMax.
There is no real difference in performance between the three types. It comes down to a cost and time related issue. If you want to spend more time changing plugs more often and get the copper ones, or if you want to put down the money for platinums and spend less time changing them.
It's all you.
Just for future reference next time you post inquiring information don't be a dumbarse and purposely put in misinformation about your car just to bring on the flames. I highly doubt you did it on purpose, I think you were just ignorant in the fact that the car doesn't have spark plug wires. It wouldn't be the first time someone didn't know that so no worries. Just try not to be an a-hole, we have enough of those on here already.
