ACK!! That A/F graph looks like ****. I now wonder if the O2 relocation has had an adverse effect.
Do you have any recorded data before you installed the headers?

This is kinda confusing, why would he be running lean becasue of the headers? I know SR20DEN with the dry shot wasnt getting the best A/F ratio but was making some serious whp and wtq. Since a dry shot works with the injectors wouldnt he be running exteremly lean with a dry shot that large? I know hes got another fuel pump and alot of plumming work under the hood to shoot the fuel pressure through the roof. Then whats the case with the Alti? wouldnt a higher volume pump solve this problem for the time being?

SR20DEN was bumping up the fuel pressure on the juice, and that makes the injectors pump more fuel. There is no way to make the Alti pump out more fuel, so until he can get an SAFC hooked up, it will not run to it's full potential.

Oh well u gotta pay to play I guess but if the gains are worth it (30+whp w/SAFC
) Then I guess im in as soon as I get the damn car, im gettin impatient here....btw did he order the SAFC or its gonna be a while til u get his ride dyno'd with it.

Yeah I know, hes got the fuel pump under the hood. Its just that if the alti runs lean then obviously were goin to have the same problem. Looks like in order to get the 100% potential out of these headers then is to get em with the SAFC so in other words around $1K approx.

It's all RPM relevant, ie if you have an A/F of 12.5@6400 rpm in 3rd, you'll be at 12.5@6400rpm in 4th.
If you're tuning with a FMU or AFC, you look at RPM, right?

Ok, I'll go deeper for you, the Altima has a 130mph speed limiter, yes you all heard right A 130MPH SPEED LIMITER ON AN AUTO!!! So we got good data in 2nd gear, and we got less data in 3rd gear because the speed limiter kicked in before redline. Sooo you veiw the run over time and you can see the whole thing over 2 gears. And some auto's have loose tq convertors, and everytime they slip or lock, the dyno interprets that as a gear change. So you could make a 3rd gear pull, but the dyno may see 2 or 3 gears because of the convertor, then your graph would only be from say 4-6k because the convertor slipped when you stepped on it at 3k. Come down to the shop sometime, and I'll edumacate you

Was the OEM FP atleast providing enough fuel, or was it only the injectors that maxed out. Looks like we are all gonna have this issue sooner or later, the SFAC could only do so much though with the OEM injectors. I dont want to say lets modify the injectors to flow more fuel or anything, Ive never seen that as a good idea. Would ne need to upgrade the pump in order to make 100% use of a SFAC or thats not needed as of yet.

I'm sure the fuel pump is adequate. We are using stock fuel pumps in the turbo Contour's we build, and we are doubling the hp.

as I was recently educated today, ECU regulates injector pulse not fuel pressure.
