Anyone recommend a good alarm? The factory alarm does nothing for my lights that got stolen. Also, can I install a after market alarm and not void out my warranty? The dealer told me that if I get my alarm any where else, it'll void out my warranty. Is that true? They wanted me to install it with them.

I think the dealer is full of BS. Why would a better alarm system void out the warranty of your vehicle?

Clifford RS3 Matrix responder, now it's made by Viper as DEI bought them out. Outstanding alarm w/ remote start and pager, and I kept full function of my stock alarm if ever needed to go back just stock.

it will void your warranty on the SECU and ECU if wires are tapped. No way to avoid it, other than removing it before going in for warranty work.

This is very incorrect. Warranty cannot be voided for adding an aftermarket alarm. Under the terms of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Improvement Act.

If you are told otherwise it may very well be a violation of Federal law.
