Engine Click When Starting Help!!

Hi,

this is my first post and I need help please.
i replaced the battery 2 weeks ago and this morning car won't start
when i tried to start it it just clicked a few times.
i waited a few minutes went back out and it turned over twice them clicked some more.
please help!!!
i have a 2001 gle with 57k

Your options are...

battery, starter solenoid, or starter itself. I'm not all too familiar with the starter on the 5th Gen Max's, but the clicking almost always indicates dead battery or bad starter solenoid (on Domestic cars). I can only assume the starter is of a similar design and layout as a FWD domestic.

EDIT- You still need to discover the cause of the power loss as well. Your battery shouldn't be dead that soon after replacing it, unless your alternator is sucking pond water. Do you have any mods on your car (like and underdrive pulley)?

Sounds like the starter isn't getting enough juice to turn the engine over... The clicking is the solenoid shooting out...

If you JUST replaced the battery, check for a bad ground... busted fusable links etc...
