K&N vs Apex air filter

Over at the Frankencar site they offer the intake kits with your choice of K&N or Apex air filters. But, the Apex filter is $55 more! Is this filter worth the extra $? BTW, I'll join the group deal and pick one up.

Thanks, T

Maybe a half a sec reduction in a auto-X but in the 1/4... Ud be lucky if the headers and intake combined reduce your ET by that much. I dont know were you got that from (actually I think you read kloogys post about the apexi filter a while ago and took his word 4 it) The best intake that I have personally ever seen for the 2K2 is the GAB (ghetto air box) I saw a 2k2 run 3 passes at 15.0 and when we had him switch it out with the K&N and the modified box it ran a 14.7, then we lowered the tire pressure and his ET dropped to 14.6. Basically he got a .3 improvment from bone stock with that setup. Btw he was also runnin 3-4mpg faster as well.

Half a second? That's a bit generous. Apexi is better, but not THAT much better.
