Hesitation during starting?

I have a 2001 SE and used to have a 2001 GXE. I experienced the same with both, intermittently. The car will be FULLY warmed up and driven a significant amount of time. I shut the car off and when I get back in it (before ANY cool down) within 15 minutes or so, it hesitates on start. I sometimes have to re-crank the starter to get it started and then it's fine. When it hesitates, sometimes it does get started but hesitates and about to stall and catches on.
If anyone else has ever experienced this, please let me know (since I know there are idle problems). Otherwise I have to check my gas, filters, wires, etc.

I don't live in high altitude. I live in NYC. Between the TSB about the TCM and solenoid (and possible trashing of the literal tranny itself) along with the starting thing (which honestly isn't that big of a deal since it isn't often and doesn't prevent me from starting or anything) I'm starting to wonder if I should have went with the "Flagship" after all.
