Different from jnm2k's problem, I have a pretty noticeable vibration when I hit the brakes on the highway. Not slamming them on so I know it's not the ABS (besides it's not that type of vibration), but when I am going 75 - 80, then slow down a little bit for traffic or for an exit, just a mild slowdown, I get a shudder in the steering wheel. My car is a 2k SE with 7500 miles on it. Do I have bad brakes? Is there something else wrong? Am I just being paranoid? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Matt

Thanks, mingo. I appreciate the info - I made an appointment tonight to get them looked at.

They Just turned them

I took it in tonight and they said that there was definitely warping, but not enough to warrant replacement, so they just turned them. Did I get screwed or will that suffice. Just wondering!!!

Thanks again,

Matt

I would throw a sh** fit...

that might not change anything... but if my car had less than 12K miles, I would demand a replacement. I would start by demanding to know what the tolerances are and just what exactly they did and how much rotor you've been left with..

dont be surprised if this gets you nowhere with the dealer, but dont sit still for that.

your's and mine

i don't believe changing a faulty part with another that is just exactly the same one would fix a problem so i say your rotors might warp again and so shall mine. just keep switchin' til' we run outa warranty and go bear or brembo.. yeahhhhhhh babye stop power. kevin got new rotors right??? lowering the car voids that warranty..
