has anyone "custom" made a intake?

hey all, i was just wondering if anyone has made a "custom" intake on a 2002 or 2003 maxima. i did it w/ my svt and it made a huge improvement and was just wondering if it's possible and if anyone has done it. if so, how is it done and what were the results. thanks.

I went with the intake setup Larry had. I removed the stock airbox and attached an adapter to the MAF and then attached a 9 inch K&N cone filter to the adapter. I also removed the hose and baffle that attached the accordian piece and used a breather filter. It definitely provided a power increase with no loss of bottom end. And yeah it's pretty loud at WOT above 2500 rpm.

Unfortunately not. I was going to post the picture Larry had linked in one of his threads but the link isn't working. I also pm'd Larry but no response yet. I''ll try and borrow my friends digital camera tomorrow.

I'm working on modifying the Injen intake to go just below the radiator. From the measurements though it doesn't look like it would be safe for street if your car is lowered. I will only have an inch and a half clearance from the ground. I'm going to use it only for the track.
