I need a blue light.
Like I said before, I'm blanning on puttin on two bloo LED's. Encase you guys havn't seen the bloo LED's Radio Shack carries, here is the pic.
The camera changed the color a little, those LED's came out a little bright than usual. But that color came out close enough.
I'm a computer modder and those LED's where originally orange. My computer theme is silver, carbon fiber, and white + bloo LED's. Just figgered I'd say that.

I just used this same method to change the color of my instruments when illuminated, instead of white on black, they are now Red on Black, It looks really good imo, thanks K Pazzo 6, great idea.

where do you access the bulbs to change the instrument panel bulb??? i really want to do this too
Crappy write up I know, but, once you get the gauge cluster out it is pretty self explanitory. There is a write up on how to remove the gauge cluster in the how to's. I would, as K Pazzo said color the bulb, wait for it to dry and repeat 5 or 6 times, red looks good, I think blue like the newer VW's also looks nice.

Just take out the cluster, in the back there are several black and brown things that hold the bulbs, with mine (2k1) the black ones hold the bulbs for the gauges and the brown are for the ancillary displays (turn signal, gear indicator etc). All you have to do is twist out the black ones, and color the bulb.
