1st oil change?
I know the break-in period is outlined in the book but what about the 1st oil change? How long should you keep factory oil in?
Is everybody going to synthetic or not worth the money?
I think I'm going to switch to Mobil-1 Synth.

General consensus is that you should not switch to synthetic until you have 5-10,000 miles on the car. I always do my first oil change by 1,000 miles b/c that gets any small metallic particles out of the oil from initial break in. This could be the most critical oil change of teh cars life (IMO).

hey maxcosity your from the bayarea right? ... welll matthel has amsoil that is way better then mobil 1 supersyn...... it kicks butt over all the oils out their!

this is what I did
1st oil change @ 1000miles
2nd oil change @ 3000miles
then after that, I changed it every 3000 miles with Castrol GTX.
switched to mobil 1 super syn at 35000 after the SC was installed.
