what first FTSB or RSB???
what would be the first step to better handling???
and which ones to get
as far as the FTSB..i like the cattman but it is way too pricey. so i think the OTTO Racing one that looks like the stillen FTSB is a good choice
as far as the RSB the cattman one is only 109 bucks which sounds like a great deal, is it better or worse then the stillen one???

I have the Cattman RSB (works great) and the BOMZ $35 special FSTB (also works great, although a little jockeying is needed so the bar doesn't hit the manifold in reverse, and/or pinch the driver's side windshield washer.

Get the front strut tower brace to tighten up front end. You'll find that many have removed the rear tower brace because it caused the rear to 'hop'. I just got a FSTB on E-bay for $31 + $14 shipping (it's engraved with 'Courtesy Nissan'). It's high quality and a fast install - very happy.

Just for clarification for jeepik, you must mean people have installed an RSTB and then removed it because of wheel hop (in corners?)? Max's don't come with RSTBs, and it's an infrequent install...

yeah guys thanks for the heads up on the rear strut bar, i was never gonna do that one anyhow, cant loose the valuable trunt space
sounds like the rear sway bar is the winner
so which one should i get..is the stillen one or addco one worth the extra money over the cattman/progressive one???

I have a Stillen RSB that I coated a platinum/titanium color with clearcoat to protect it that I will be installing this week. I will let you know about differences in the ride, etc.
I will also be installing an OTTO FSTB... for 1/2 the money of a Stillen, you have something that looks just as good and performs the same. Just DON'T get a hollow aluminum FSTB... get an OTTO or an OBX.

FSTB installs faster, so that's what I got first. But the improvement in handling with the RSB is amazing. If I had to do it over, I'd do the RSB first. As posted, the RSTB doesn't do much.
I got a Bomz FSTB ($35) and Addco RSB ($112 on the last GD)

It's been tested here by many people and the consensous is that the Stillen offers no benefit in handling for the extra money. From what I've read, the Stillen is slightly easier to install. I had no mechanical ability before installing the Addco RSB and it was a piece of cake.

I have the OTTO FSTB...looks great and was much cheaper than Stillen...solid, not hollow...easy install, had no worries about it interferring with any other parts (washer lines, etc...total came to $70 (incl shipping)...

I bought the Cattman-Progress RSB, but I have yet to install it...I will be doing this install either tonight or tomorrow...I have heard that there is no performance difference between Stillen FSTB/RSB and other FSTB/RSB, but the Stillen products are more asthetically pleasing and can be easier to install , although the FSTB should be str8-forward and I have yet to comment on an RSB installation.
Hope this helps!

My $.02
I got the Cattman/Progress RSB for $110
Really simple install - this was my 1st mod and wasn't complicated at all.
Difference is really notable - you don't have to drive hard to feel the difference - I could easily see it in day-to-day driving ( like taking exit ramps )
Go for it - easy to do, cheap and fun results !
And btw, we've had some folks that had some shop install the RSB and had bad results - so take some time and DIY - feels worthwhile
Good luck

here is the low down. well i just got a 03 maxima and the first mod was a otto strut bar. it stiffened up the front then today i just installed a cattman rsb. and wel me tell you there was a huge difference. less body roll and more control. i think its best to get both rsb and strut bar. the strut bar is way easier then the rsb to install but the rsb install was not that diffcult with the help of the org. so i recommend both. and trust me its worth it. also get the cheaper one stillen is waist of money i think. the otto is the exact bar and the cattman rsb is also very good.
well sorry being so long. dont even think about it just go get it it is worth the money...

Go for it - u will be like when done !
In my opinion, the maxima (atleast the SE) should have had a good RSB from the factory itself - handling is a joke without it
