SES Light On

The "service engine soon" light is came on on my 2K1 SE yesterday. I tightened the fuel cap, but the light stays on. MAF sensor is seated tight. Any thoughts on what else to check?

The same thing happened to my Max yesterday. I was on the interstate when suddenly this big rig slows down in front of me so I shifted into third and punch it to change lanes when suddenly my SES light comes on. When I got home I disconnected the battery terminals for a while and after reconnecting them, the light goes off. I guess if something is wrong, it'll come on again but so far so good.

Went to a dealer this am, and yes it was the o2 sensor. They are ordering the parts (two new o2 sensors - the ones after the cat). They'll do the install, and burn updated software into the ECU next week. Glad I've got six months left on the warranty!
