I am not sure if this is normal, but when I use the seat heater for a while, a burning smell comes. (perhaps after 20 mins or so). It goes switching the heat off.
Anyone have the same?

burning?

No smell with mine. Is it on high or low when it happens? Either way it is not normal and I would take it in to the dealer.

I use mine alot

and no smell. Mine tends to shut-off too soon (they cycle on and off, or should). Sometimes they cook me, sometimes they just wont get that warm at all. I'm not sure what controls them (besides the switch). I suspect its tied to the auto-climate, but dont know that. good luck get the dealer to check for that.

say, have you looked under the car to see if there is some plastic stuck to the exhaust? or under to the seat to see if there is some plastic under there getting hot?

I use mine sometimes and have no problems with smell. Make sure you don't have plastic stuck underneath (if that's possible).

Maybe you're just being slowly cooked by your car. She's getting hungry...

Heated seats have a thermostat inside

The heated seats have a thermostat to cycle the heat on and off on the high setting. It looks like the thermostat is bypassed on the lower setting.
