I've seen lots of posts about this, has anyone gotten it fixed? After I get my new tranny and get my ECU reprogrammed for the cold idle drop I'm going to have them look into it. I thought the ecu reprogramming might cover it though. I do always use 92 octane gas so I don't think its the gas quality.

I'm sorry, but Nissans are notorious for knocking/pinging. The best solution is to run a colder set of spark plugs. I had a dealer retard the timing on my girlfriends Sentra, but that just masked the problem. Anyways, run a 92 octane Cheveron gas w/ Techriline(??) to minimize the pinging. Cheveron gas made a considerable difference with my girlfriends car.
