smoked a jetta VR6
Well, I was just cruising on a 3 lane street and there were lots of cars in front. There was no one on the right lane so i decided to change lane. Then there it was.
So we went for it. I killed him both times in second gear. Had him for about 3 car length or more.
What I'm wondering is that is there a possible hestitation in 2k max that you guys know? Or it was just my bad shifting?
I'm asking because he had me half a car length on both attempts on first gear. If I floor it I always get wheel hop.

I think Jetta VR6 is not that slow, if the driver was good and it was a manual.

Yes, it was a manual. By listening to his engine rev, I don't think he has any mods on it either.

the GTI 200hp is suppose to be a bigger competitor. i would be careful from those espicially 2k/2k1 guys . i'm pretty sure it wont be a problem for the 6sp

Watch out for modded VR6s. The guy in the 2000 or so Maxima on 91South was not happy when we were still side by side at 100 and I started walking at 120. And all this fun with 18 missing degrees of ignition due to a bad knock sensor.

I raced a golf 1.8T with blow off valve and chip... first race from 5-10 mph: together, second race from 30 mph : beat me but after 100 i was on his gas cap... the guy from the golf said "im surprise your car is fast" It was very very nice race...

Who in their right mind comes on a maxima web site only to bring up a 4 month old thread only to say he beat a maxima in a street race? Not to mention he is driving the #1 rated car of gay males from the ages of 18-25.
