tanx guys cant believe ive been driving for months like that
Yep. This is true. I just bought a 2002 SE with an after market eclipse radio in it. Once the dealer radio is taken out, the TRIP button on your steering wheel will not work. Why? Because the TRIP button is GROUNDED THROUGH THE DEALER RADIO. Believe it or not, I got the wiring diagram from Cherry Hill Nissan today 5/7/03. Right now I am trying to figure out how to wire it directly to the UNIFIED METER CONTROL UNIT (WITH ODO/TRIP METER), or get another dealer radio. I can't afford one at the dealer.
