Which of these would win on the 1/4 both auto's. The LS v8 is rated @ 280 horses.

The LS definitely has soem ballz.. Being V8 and RWD has it's advantage. Stock vs Stock you'll probably get spanked. Unless your boosted.

A 5- or 6-spd 3.5L Max would have a good run against the V8 in the LS.

i think it would be a drivers race, the ls in car and driver ran 14.9 or 15.0 . it got spanked by the m45 which ran 14.4. we all know what what auto 2k2 max runs. (14.7-15.0) so therefore its all in your holeshot.i think you'll win. i've driven the 252 horse v8ls and that car was no match . 30 horse will help though...........

I actually was torn bewteen the 2 when I got my 2k2. The LS will smoke the Max in the mountains as the suspension is incredible! In a straight line going by the S.O.P (Seat of pants) Dyno, I felt the Max was faster and I stand by that decision as the max is lighter and more nimble for a 1/4 quick race. I think top speed would go to the LS but thats just my .02

Yeah, I smoked the crap out of a 252hp LSV8 here in NJ. However, I'm willing to bet that the new LS is at least as quick as my auto 2K2.

yeah but thats not the new 280 hp ls. even with the hp boost there is no way any 2k2 auto will get spanked. i predict its a drivers race if not a slight edge to the max.
