I'm considering installation of a clear bra on the nose of my '03 Max. Checking through the 3M site I find two installers in my area, Body Dynamics in Wethersfield, and ATD in East Hartford.

Has anyone on the board dealt with these folks? Ballpark prices? Anything I should be careful of with this installations or questions to ask the installers?

I've been considering the same thing. I'm not sure if I will like the way the clear bra looks or not. You're lucky to have 2 installers in your area, at least that gives you an option. I did a search and there is only 1 in my area. I called them up to get some ballpark pricing figures and the lady made it seem like I was putting her out. I mean...this is what they do right? Is a ballpark figure too much to ask? So she half-heartedly takes down my information and tells me she'll get some pricing info and she'll call me back. No big surprise...it's now 2 days later and I haven't heard back from them. I guess they don't want my business too bad. They won't be seeing my car because I don't think this is how so-called "professionals" should treat potential paying customers. So now I'm trying to decide if I should order just the hood piece and put it on myself.

 

Thanks for the feedback. That's the thread that got me thinking about this. I was hoping to hear from someone in the local area who have worked with these folks.

Why dont' you do it yourself? Its really not that hard at all. You just have to be aware of what you're doing. One of the best $70 I've spent on my Max, I'd have to say...

 

i've seen the clear bra on a dozen porsches and it looked fine to me.
