Mingo, my mentor and friend, have you managed to remove the grill for the 2k max? did you have to break anything?

This friday im gonna have rear bumper fixed cause i got a couple of deep scrapes on the ****.

But i figured why not let my uncle also paint the grill body color, since the all chrome grill is not an option, yet. oh yeah i saw the new i30 , the grill is ugly mingo, u better not put that on your car. it will make you look like 70 years old.

Well ne1 else succeed in taking off the grill, please post.
Roger

i had my grill painted body color...

my bro in law did it for me. the only problem was that the grill is actually part of the bumper, so in order to paint it, you have to remove the whole front bumper cover. kind of a pain, but hey it looks real nice so it was worth it

roger.

hahaha. nooo i got the cefiro grill it's the 4th gen max (i30) grill it's the 2000cc or 2L motor. it looks nothing like the infinity grill. it's bars run straight from the left to right instead of up and down. there's only 4 bars that roun horizontal none vertical. i'll post pix sooner or later. i oughta buy a digital camera.. neone wanna donatE??? hahaha oh i havn't had a chance to touch my baby yet so i can't tell u if i can take off the grill or not. but from what i've heard u gotta cut. it's actually part of the bumper just ahs that funny frame around it and is a diff color making it look like it's not part of the bumper. oh well good luck.. you can still chrome the thing if u want but i dont' suggest it.

g'luck with your car.. i'll be postin pix as soon as get pix and scan em' in or just get a digi camera..
