Last minute questions about installing Eibach Prokit

Thanks to everyone for giving me their suggestions. Before I actually get the Prokit installed I just wanted to clarify a couple of things.

1) Can the install be done without and alignment? The guy from Monroe is telling me there is no way to install new springs without it. I heard that you need to let the springs settle before alignment. does that mean I need to do it twice?

2) I plan to run on the stock shocks for a bit, until I get extra cash for the Tokicos or something else. Will my ride be soft on stocks? I spend alot of time in my car for business, so I need some comfort.

3) How much should I pay for someone to do the install?

4) Do I need the alignment kit from Eibach?

Thanks to all.

Bill

Re: Last minute questions about installing Eibach Prokit

When mine were installed, I did have an alignment. Better safe than sorry. I've had the stock shocks/struts on since I installed the springs ( appx 28k miles ) and they are still doing just fine. Still prefer to upgrade one day...

I paid slightly less than $300 for installation, but that included the alignment and balancing the tires.

Good luck...

You should get an alignment after install.
You should take it back in after about 500 miles to see if your alignment is ok.
I have been running stock struts for a year and have a nice ride with no issues
Prices vary too much to give you anything solid on that one.
And you do NOT need the alignment kit from Eibach.
