Breaking steer!!??

I have a 2002 SE. Sometimes when I break on a road that have groves in it the car wants to follow the grooves on the road!! scary as hell... almost went into the lane next to me!! does this ever happen to u? It feels like torque steer but just that i'm not accelerating but breaking!!

doesn't that happen with any car? if the wheels get caught in a groove, it's on normal that it's gonna wanna follow it... you just have to kno to keep it straight.

It's just that in my 2002 SE it seems to happen more often and more violently compared to my 2000 acura CL.... does it have to do with the bigger tire size or something?

Same here. Actually, my summer tires (Toyo T1S) make it much more noticable for some reason on the same road at the same place/speed/condition. I get used to it but the first time I thought something wrong was with the car.

"Hi, I drive a train. When the rails turn the train follows the rail."

"Hi, I am a gutterball. Whne I get in the gutter I don't come out."

Pay attention to the road, when you see the ruts you will know that there will be some pull.

Plus, the wider your tires the more pull you'll experience. I remember test driving WS6 trans am in downtown Nashville where the roads were all lumpy and torn up by semis...those (what are they, 275's?) wide tires wanted to pull me all over the road.

If the road is crowned, it amplifies this effect.
