aDJUSTING my headlights??

ever since i lowered my car, my headlights seem to be pointing straight down... maybe because my front was lowered a lot more than my rear.... but at nite i'm having a hard time seeing because i can only see like 10 feet in front of me... how can i adjust my headlights so they point a little bit higher?

if you open your hood and look behind your headlight, there is a white turning dial. use a flat head screwdriver to turn one way or the other (i can't remember which way points the lights up). the left headlight is harder to do, if i remember correctly because there is something blocking the way.

you should shine your lights against a light colored, flat wall and do this.

pop your hood and look at the back of your headlight...there will be a white cylindrical **** (sorta). it's about 1/2 inch in diameter. it'll have grooves that you can stick a flat head screwdriver into and turn one way or the other. you'll see it if you look for it. as i said before, shine your lights against a flat light colored wall and spin the **** using hte screwdriver.

on a side note, is your other car an E55? sweet car, needless to say. i bet the max feels sluggish in comparison :-) i can only imagine the kind of immediate torque a five and a half liter V8 would have.

The E55 is my dad's. He just traded his 2001 for the 2003 supercharged one. OMG, I swear that if u floor it, the earth might reverse its rotation. The maxima doesnt even compare in terms of performance, but when you consider that the E55 costs 3x as much, those concerns go away.

i think you have the correct ****...i'm a 2k2, but i dont see why it should be any different - the grooves for the screwdriver aren't on the back, i was talking about the grooves on what would be the sides of the cylindrical ****. you can use the driver to nudge the **** one direction or the other.

i just looked under my hood. can't miss the grooves on mine...maybe it's just with xenons (2k2)? that sucks man, maybe someone else with a 2k, 2k1 knows? would needle-nose pliars or something like that work?

You need an 8mm socket to adjust the headlights on the 2k2 headlights. I don't know which way adjusts up and down because I somehow messed mine up.
