An alternative to chunkin' batteries at someone. I've never used it, as a rule I try to avoid confrontations.

I guess I could do a how to if anyone cares. I've made a couple of locks that haven't worked out. I'm working on a modified Krypton lock that will have a stud that mounts to the car body and passes through the trigger loop. The lock will slip over the stud and hold everything in place.

I bought the butt and barrel racks at WalMart. Krypton lock from a bicycle shop. The Ithaca Featherlight 12 Mag from a sproting goods store.

this only works for the 2k2+? we 2k people have a bump on the seat mounting area. Seems like the 2k2 have a flat mounting area where the seats mount in? Is this correct?

Anyone ever had to actually use their Mag light, or Texas Mag light, yet? Cuz I really doubt you'll be able to swing those things in the tight space of your car (much less grab a shotgun from the back seat) with someone aiming a gun in your face. I would think you'd screw yourself. Cuz if I was the crook, I'm put a bullet in you and then beat you with your own Mag light. Even if the crook was too wussy to pull the trigger, I still doubt you could effectively swing that Mag.

But hey, if having it there makes you feel better, then more power to you.

I use mine quite a bit, when you are drilling the holes make sure you pull up the carpet because there is a round hole about the size of a dime punched out of the seat mount bar. It will make drilling a lot easier.

No crap!! Unless you are one skinny *** dude with plenty of room to move around (and as a skinny *** dude, you'll probably get the crap kicked out of you anyway), there is no way to swing that thing around with any real effectiveness, unless you want to take out your own rearview mirror, A pillar, and possibly side glass depending on how fast you can put the window down.

I DO like the idea for convenience but this crap about a weapon rack is just people shooting their mouths off again.

You'd be suprised at how fast a properly motivated individual can brandish a shotgun. But this is Texas after all, a Smith&Wesson model 60 lives in the glove box or leg holster... The shotgun requires no permit, all you have to be is 18. Handgun, if you are 21 and have the attention span to sit through a training class you too can be armed and dangerous!

Ok, you go and practice this and time yourself.

By the way, if it takes longer than reading the preceeding sentence, you are already dead with three bullets in your skull.

See?

I think it would be great to shine it in a cops eyes when he pulls you over at night and has to beam his million candle watt flash light through my scull.

I often thought about carring a mirror around to hold up when I cop tried to blast his flashlight at me...

"How are we doing tonight"
"Fine officer, now get that f'in light out of my face!"

I think having a flash light handy is awesome when you need to check something out on the car. It might be a good weapon in NY where you might be facing a tire iron. Against a gun you should just be taking the mag light and wedging it between the gas pedal and the seat

Dave, in your 2k did you have the bracket mounted on that flat spot
that is raised next to the seat? Was the head of the flashlight ever in the way of your feet getting in and out?

Is this a special clip for the maglight or just a generic one that fits. I just went and got a 3D maglight from Lowes, but didn't see any clips. I'm going to go try Home Depot before the day is over. Any one want to sell me their other clip for cheap if I can't find it there?

You may be right. I guess it depends on the nature of the hypothetical situation. If I'm ambushed, no warning, no doubt I'm toast. If I see you comming, I'll try to get myself to safety. If I see you comming but I can't get away, I'm gonna lock and load.
It may be a false sense of security but I'd rather have it than not.

I hope for your sake your're a good swing because for the 6 words in that sentence you just said, someone can unload 6 rounds from a 6 shot revolver in you.

With all due respect. Those batons are considered to be deadly weapons and in most places the law enforcement agents (Police or security) have to undergo hours/days of training to be certified to carry those batons. Just an FYI in case you get questioned about it or actually use it on someone.
